Victorian homes are renowned for their rich, dark interiors, which can sometimes obscure their unique features and make the spaces less inviting for prolonged use. We've transformed this home by embracing a minimalist approach, using whites and neutrals to brighten the interiors, while showcasing vibrant artwork and distinctive furniture as focal points.
By experimenting with materials and textures, we’ve turned the house itself into a piece of art, creating an inviting and dynamic living environment.
Lighting was a key element in this property, skillfully playing with shadows and light to create an ambiance where none existed before. By strategically placing fixtures and utilizing various lighting techniques, the design team transformed ordinary spaces into captivating environments.
Ambient lighting softly illuminates the room, setting a serene and welcoming tone, while accent lighting highlights architectural features and artwork, adding depth and interest.
The careful orchestration of natural and artificial light sources not only enhances the visual appeal but also influences the mood and functionality of each area. This thoughtful approach to lighting design elevates the overall aesthetic, making the space both inviting and dynamic.
